The following pub and brewery news was reported at the Branch Social Meeting on Wednesday 10th January 2018.

The West Hoe lease is up for sale; the Two Trees, Union Street, is to be reopened as a traditional pub by Frank Kelly, from Gipsy Moth; the Three Crowns, on the Barbican, remains closed following the death of the landlord; the Walkhampton Inn has been fully surveyed now it is open for food and drinks; the Stannary Brewery Tap is shut during January for brewery relocation; There is confusion over whether or not food is served at the Artillery Arms; How long has the Somerset Arms, North Road West, been closed? the Drakes Drum, Plymstock, is open; the Eighteen87, Laira bridge, has been sold to developers for accommodation; the Boringdon Arms, Turnchapel, has a Beer Festival on the 26th and 27th January. Cask Marque accreditation has been gained by James Street Vaults and the California Inn; none have been removed.
