The pub closed on the 8th June 2024, A planning application, ref number 24/00413/FUL, was submitted on 02/04/24 for proposed “Change of use of ground floor from public house (Sui Generis) to 3 no. flats (Class C3)”. A decision made by Council Planners was to keep it as a pub. The new owner won an appeal with the Inspecorate Planning dept January 2025.
