The hotel has been under the current licensees since August 2011, and is open to non-residents. Food is served daily from 1200 - 1400 and 1800 - 2130, along with afternoon tea. The bar has nice and relaxing comfy sofas in which to read the 'papers or keep warm by the gas fire on winter days. The Dartmoor Bar is disabled-friendly, with ramps also available upon request. Treats are available for well-behaved dogs.

Sadly, the hotel closed in August 2020 following the Covid-enforced hospitality closures, and never reopened. The hotel was purchased by NYMS Services Ltd, a Care Service provider.
