The Minerva Inn, Barbican, is having a Beer Festival from 3rd - 6th October. They also now accept JD Wetherspoon vouchers. The Stoke Inn, Stoke; the Welbeck Manor, Sparkwell (golf club public bar); & the Miners Arms, Hemerdon, have now joined the LocAle scheme. The Herald POTY Competition was won by the Keyham Vaults. A list of all pubs voted for was available. The Commercial Inn, Barbican, is now only open at the weekends. The Stoke Inn, Stoke, is offering a free burger with every eight pints. The St Austell Passport has been launched. The Millfields Trust now own the freehold of the Lord High Admiral, Stonehouse.) The Cock'n'Bull, Stonehouse, was reported to be selling Bays, Hunters and Skinners. The Swallow, Bretonside, has become the Compass Inn. The Gog and Magog, Barbican, was reported to have no saleable real ale at the end of the Bank Holiday weekend. However, the quality had improved by the following Sunday. The Albion, Devonport, has just changed hands and wants to start selling up to seven real ales. They want to know who might supply beer in pins.
