The following extract has been copied and pasted from the Branch Meeting Minutes held on Wednesday July 3rd, 2013, at 8.00 pm at The West Hoe.
There are Beer Festivals over the weekend of 26th/ 27th July at the Clovelly Bay, Turnchapel, and the Miners Arms, Hemerdon. The Fortescue, Mutley, has a Cider and Curry festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The Bread and Roses Community Pub (ex-Ebs and Trafalgar), Ebrington Street, is opening on Saturday 6th July. The licence application is for a not-for-profit pub and community hub. The Fortescue membership application stand is reported to be empty. However, they have a box of supplies to replenish it. Andy Richardson will talk to the landlord at the Victoria Inn, Hooe, about the unfriendly attitude to non-regulars that he experienced. The Mayflower Sailing Club is now accepting social memberships. Doom Bar is available. The Notte Inn, Barbican, has house beers at £2 a pint between 6.00 and 7.30 pm Friday and Saturday. The overall beer quality has been variable. Maxines, Union Street, has reopened with a very late licence. Le Bistrot Pierre, Royal William Yard, has four real ales. The Swan, City Centre, has a new manager and is reported to be doing better than it was.
