Pub and Brewery News - March 2022
The following pub and brewery news was reported at the March 2022 Committee Meeting.
Pub News
The East Dart Hotel, Postbridge, is under the new management of Karen and Ben, and it will now be known at the East Dart Inn. As previously reported, the Pub On The Hoe has been taken over by Donna from the Fisherman’s Arms, Barbican, and is now closed for refurbishment. It will reopen on St Patrick’s Day under the name Gipsy Moth. Bitter & Twisted, Tavistock, has reverted to its previous name, Duke of York, and the Market Inn, also in Tavistock, is due to reopen soon.
There is very little other pub news to report this month, other than the fact that most pubs are still facing difficulties with the ongoing situation wrt the covid pandemic and sector confidence. It is confirmed that the Pub On The Hoe will be under new ownership in March, when it will revert to being named the Gipsy Moth when it opens on St Patrick’s Day. The Miners Arms, Hemerdon, has reopened after nearly two years of closure. Hot pies/pasties are available until the kitchen reopens.
