Pub and Brewery News - October 2020
The Branch are aware of the following pub and brewery news during September 2020.
Pub News
As you will understand, the Government enforced the period of Lockdown from 20th March until Saturday 4th July 2020 for the Covid-19 pandemic. We have tried to maintain a list of those pubs which we know have reopened following the enforced closure – please see Pubs Which Reopened Following Lockdown 1, From 4th July 2020, where we have over 185 pubs listed. Due to the nature of this rapidly-changing situation, we are unable to list what each pub is doing, but have listed their website and/or social media link, where available. Please contact the pub directly, and not Plymouth CAMRA!
To see the most up to date list of pubs that have, or are due to, reopen, please click on this link to WHAT PUB Tick the ONLY SHOW VENUES WITH INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19 TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENTS check box, and then type the place name, such as Plymouth or Tavistock, in the Search Box. Once the page has refreshed, un-check the filter box "Only Show Pubs and Clubs" to list all venues.
Tap Tinn, Tavistock, has changed names to Too Hoppy, and Tavy Club has reverted to being Stannary Arms. What Pub has been updated to reflect these changes
Pub Beer Festivals
Obviously, there are no known pub or other beer festivals at this time.
Brewery News
Most brewers in the region have recommenced brewing beer again, and some are still offering a takeaway or collection service direct. Some also offer online postal deliveries.
Beer Scoring
CAMRA members can still beer score if they are willing and able to do so. This can be done whilst in the pub, using a mobile phone/tablet, by signing in to What Pub using their membership number and password. Since the pubs reopened, we have received 344 beer scores, for 55 different pubs, submitted by 32 individual members – Thank You very much!
