Scott Prideaux – RIP

It is with great sadness that Plymouth CAMRA has learned that Scott Prideaux, formally of the Sales and Social Media Team at Dartmoor Brewery, Princetown, and leading figure in the Jail Ale Appreciation Society, has died.

He was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in 2017, but continued to live life with positivity, and spent a number of years raising awareness of this disease. He was responsible for enabling Plymouth landmarks, including the Guildhall, to glow purple to raise awareness after contacting Tudor Evans at the City Council.

His daughters paid a touching tribute to their "wonderful" dad on social media. The post said “It’s with a broken heart we tell you that Scott passed away early this morning [on Monday 1st June 2020]. He was comfortable and surrounded by love.”

Plymouth CAMRA would like to pass on our condolences to his wife, Sarah, and his two daughters, Alexandra and Olivia.
