Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all pubs, hotels and restaurants were closed by the government to reduce the spread of this new virus. However, some have been able to provide a service to local residents. We are aware of the following pubs providing a service, in alphabetical order,

Horse & Groom, Bittaford, open for food and drink takeaways on Tuesdays to Sunday inclusive, between 1600 and 2000. Meals start at £7.00, draught beer (please bring your own container if possible) and bottled beer from £3.00 pint/bottle, 75 cl wine £12.00. Telephone 01752 892358. Food menu available on Facebook and Instagram; Stannary Brewery Tap, Tavistock, open on Fridays 1500-1900, and Saturdays 1200-1600 for takeaways and growler fillings, on a one-in and one-out basis. Local deliveries via phone orders. Also offering a 10% NHS discount. Details on facebook; Vessel Beer Shop, Exeter Street, City Centre, are offering a local delivery service of bottled and canned beers, and growlers, usually made on Saturdays. Unfortunately, telephone orders can not be accepted at this time; & Walkhampton Inn, Walkhampton, are giving back to the community during these difficult times. Dartmoor, free (and contact-free) local delivery to Princetown, Dousland, Tavistock and Yelverton, of bottled beers, via the online shop. Some T & Cs may apply. They are providing a local delivery service within Plymouth postcodes PL1 to PL9 inclusive, via online shop, or ring 01752 251059 at ROAM SHOPSalcombe, are offering free delivery for Devon postcodes between Kingsbridge, Plymouth and Exeter. Cases of 8 bottles, 12 bottles beer/cider or 9 pint bag-in-box. A selection of other fresh produce is also available, eg potatoes, fresh artisan cheese, pies. In addition, a selection of Bulletproof Brewing’s German-style lager beers, and guest beers, are available for delivery via the online shop. There is a minimum delivery order of £20. Free delivery within 5 miles of the Bulletproof Brewing Taphaus, Mutley Plain, other areas (UK-wide) flat delivery rate of £6.50. Order by Thursday for a Saturday delivery. Sadly, it would appear that Moonchild, of Okehampton, have been dissolved, according to Companies House, from 9th April 2020.
